In case you haven’t heard, Ciao, Europe’s #1 (or #2, depending on who you ask – Brian Smith from comparisonengines.com will insist that it’s #2) comparison shopping engine is crossing the pond.

Last week, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with Markus Rottmaier, Ciao’s Head of Sales International in the USA. He introduced me to the program and gave me a clear vision of what Ciao is going to look like when launched. While I have been asked not to talk about what the site might look like, I can honestly say that I am a bit impressed. Ciao has a great following in Europe and it’s really up to them to leverage that growth overseas and use their gained skills to succeed in their launch here in the US. I really think they may have a winner here.

I am one of the first clients to try out their program and will be listed for free for the first 3 months – I’ll post back with results.

BTW, Ciao USA goes live on February 9th, 2008 – I for one, am excited.
